A French gilded ormolu mantle clock by Marchand Paris. The case has a cherub holding a bow next to a crouching lion. The wording on the front of the case translates as (Who could resist me). The White enamel dial has Roman numerals and is signed Marchand a Paris. The 8-day movement has silk suspension and strikes the hours and half hours on a bell.
